Edith Maria Muleiro is a senior at UT Austin, graduating in December 2020 with a BA in Plan II and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures and a minor in Arabic. Her work focuses on the intersection of language and migration, specifically with asylum seekers on the US Southern Borders and migration to Europe via the Mediterranean.
The CARES act, signed by President Trump in response to the COVID19 crisis, achieved a small victory in the ongoing fight for menstrual equity for all by recognizing menstrual products as a crucial part of medical care.
